Indonesian Coconut Pancakes

Coconut pancakes are very popular in Indonesia, especially in Java. We call them ,dadar gulung‘, dadar means omelette and gulung means roll. So, what’s the difference with pancakes?

First, for the coconut pancakes, we use some coconut products. Second, we add pandan to make the color green and for the aroma. If the pancakes already fried. They are not still done guys, because we roll the pancakes first with the filling, as you can see in my video.

Please watch my video bellow to know how to roll coconut pancakes.

I love the pancakes so much. Very delicious, soft and smooth.

Ingredients;

For the dough;

150 gr  flour

1 egg

Ca. 1 tsp pandan extracts

200 ml coconut milk

200 ml milk

1 tbsp coconut oil

Pinch of salt

Mix well all the ingredients together.

For the filling;

100 gr Grated coconut

1 pandan leaf

Ca. 60 gr brown sugar

1/2 of little cup water or 3 tbsp of water

(the size of the cup, yousee in my video)

Pinch of salt

Put all together in a hot pot. Stir them up, until the brown sugar melted. Then taste the filling, if it’s not sweet enough, you can add little bit of sugar.

Done!

Have fun guys!
