How to Make your Golden Photos Grow faster

golden photos

Hi guys! I hope you are all doing fine. I come back again with some plant tips. This time, I want to share with you some tips on how to make your golden photos grow faster.
It has almost  been a year since I bought my beautiful golden photos. I am so glad that so far, this plant never got pests or suffered during the wintertime. So, let's get to the tips.

Cut your Golden Photos

Don't be afraid to cut your golden photos. The cuts that you make will stimulate your photos to grow faster. It can also make your photos even bushier.
Please cut your photos below the root nodes so that you can propagate them instead of throwing the cuttings away. For more infos about plant propagation, you can click here. You will also learn how to cut plants properly.
I made cuttings on several occasions. Now, the mother plant grows fast and beautifully. The baby plants grow quite fast as well. See the pictures!

Give them Fertilizer

liquid fertilizers

It's enough if you give your photos some fertilizer during spring and summer. Fertilize your photos once a week. You can use self-mixed fertilizer as well as premixed liquid fertilizer. Anyway, I use general liquid fertilizer for green plants. Usually, you mix it with 1L water before you water your plants. These extra nutrients will make your photos happier and grow faster.

Water them right

We come back again to watering. I never get bored talking about watering. Don't water your photos too often. It could make their root rot. Water your photos once a week during spring and summer. Before the next watering, I sometimes just check the leaves. When they feel fresh. I don't water them, even it has already been more than a week since the last time.
It's the same rule for all your plants. By the way, you can read here about common plant care mistakes.

Enough Light

This plant generally can grow with little light. But if you want to make them grow faster, place them near a window so that they can enjoy the sunlight, but not all day long. West-facing windows are ideal because because they get sun in the evening or east windows which get sunlight in the morning. The plant will have a beautiful pattern on their leaves. However, a north-facing window can get morning sunlight during the summer.
My apartment only has south and north-facing windows, so, I placed my golden photos near the north window. So far, it works well. You shouldn't place your photos in a south-facing window. There is a lot of sunlight during the day, the plant might get sunburnt, so at least put them to the side.
